About The Author

Marti Davis lives in Huntington Beach, California, but her varied careers have brought her in contact with fascinating and celebrated people across the nation. Over the years she has worked as a photographer, photographic technical representative, print broker and a clinical/sports massage therapist who specialized in reconstructive therapy. Now retired, her time is spent writing, traveling and playing golf.

World travel is not only her interest, but a valuable source of information for her writing. She uses her experiences as a pilot and yacht racer as well. "I'd rather think of myself as a story-teller than as a writer. I see life as a novel or a movie."

"Most of my ideas for novels have come to me from my active imagination, as well as from personal experience." Marti hopes that adventure will always be a part of her life. "I've been face to face with a tiger in the jungles of Malaysia; chased by a herd of elephants in Africa and stranded on a tiny island in the Bay of Bengal. I've rappelled 300 feet into a sinkhole through the rainforest canopy and had leeches on my legs as I waded through coffee-colored streams. I live with the hope of never becoming ordinary or boring."

Marti sees life as a journey; setting stones on a path for more to come. "Life is much too complex to be so short. There certainly must be more," she professes.
